Default Loose motor mount screws

i was just wondering if this was a common problem among theses cars w/ swapped engines because it has happened to my b/f's hatch and his bro's CRX..

Yesterday my b/f was driving and he felt the car driving wierd so he pulled over to check his engine and all 3 screws popped out of the engine so he got it towed home...
Before that happened only one screw was loose and he was going to get it fixed ..

my other question is even if he gets it fixed whats the possibility that it will happen again? should he just get a new Block?

well thanks for the help

What?

Maybe he should be posting questions concerning his own engine...

I would venture to say they arent screws, but bolts... Either way, you need to clarify wtf you are talking about.

And why on Gods green earth would you need a new engine?

So you are saying the bolts stripped the threads out of the block?? If so I would figure out why they pulled out and fix that first before fixing the block by retapping or helicoiling the threaded holes. From what I have seen this is not a common problem but it does happen. I had a bolt back out of the mount that goes through the rear bushing on my hasport rear mount. So bolts backing out on swapped cars does happen due to the vibration caused by the stiff mounts. Also another suggestion, make sure all the bolts are torqued properly.

im thinking shes talking about the timing belt side mount, when they are stripped or improperly torqued. the motor falls and rests on the radius arm.

Yes all 3 came out and No, the engine didn't fall out, it's just sort of hanging there
