motor inserts install problem: can't lower driver side engine
instruction according to http://www.hazone.com/hmtrmount.htm
I followed step from 1~4 and got stuck on 5 when the engine did not lower AT ALL so I can remove the motor mount, I tried to force the engine down with my hands, tried to shake it back and forth, I even tried to start the car but the thing just won't budge...

you just gotta manhandle it man , i was on top of my motor basically jumping on it to go in . im 200lbs and it took some force of rocking it and jumping on it to get mine in . sometimes they are easy sometimes they are a pain .
I think something is binding in the side mount and not allowing the motor to fall. Try removing the side mount all together, support the engine with a jack under the pan and remove all 3 bolts on the side mount. Lower the jack and the engine should fall.
i helped my friend with his, and he had me (i'm 180lbs compared to his 160lbs) practically standing hopping on top of the engine..

I was so close! I should have jumped up and down on valve cover. I'll try again soon, thanks guys.

Is that bolt on the upper driver-side engine mount loosened or removed? It looks like it's still tightened down all the way.
hey I still can't get it to lower, I had my 180lb friend push the damn thing and it's not working, I even had him stand on the block while I hold his leg and the hood but it's just not coming off
is there any shop in southern ca will do this? how much will it cost me?

Keep with it, you'll get it eventually. Let me to you from experience, when you get it out dont put the inserts in and try to put it back on. Put the back insert on the shaft, then put the mount back on, then put the other side of the insert on. Its hard to get off to begin with, getting it back on is even harder if you try to do with with the inserts in, so this makes it much much easier.
BTW, I think the problem you're having is because you followed the instructions on the website that you posted above. Look at their picture again, then look at yours...notice something different? If you loosen that 3rd bolt(not shown on their car) then it should lower down quite nicely.

check PM. i just did this today. took 1 hr. really easy. to install the driver side ones, i dropped out the ac compressor and took the mount out. i thought that would be a safer than removing the top mount.
you might just try putting a jack under the tranny and unbolting all the motor mounts. then lining up the driver side mount so that you can slip the bolt in and only tighten it enough so that it can hold the engine and tranny by itself. then do the rear mount, passenger side, and then front. make sure you don't tighten any of them until they're all in. after all the bolts and nuts are in... then you can torque or tighten them down. but like everyone else said... you just have to manhandle it... lol i dont know about getting on top of it and jumping on it. but shaking it and rocking it back and forth could help.. but at the same time have a jack holding it up to let off of any weight the engine has on the body of the car.

What he said... Drop the whole mount. Four 12's and four 14's... I'd rather do that then stand on the engine.

did you losen the third bolt on the top driverside mount? Its not going to lower unless that one is lose as well.
no I did not loosen the 3rd bolt, the site didn't mention anything about that... I'll try that tommorow, thanks!
gotta loosen all the motor mount bolts... 3rd one's the charm.
if youstill have problems just remove the a/c and ps pump from that bracket and take out the 4 bolts that bolt it to the block.. the mount will fall down and presto....

Now the rear mount is what you will need to manhandle
