Metal table?

Yes
A clean surface on the metal table is important for a good circuit completion. A nice heavy welding/setup table is great but very diffuclt to move around and have in a small shop.
A nice light frame with a thinner plate steel top is a good compromise. (and by thinner I don't mean sheet metal

im welding up my table this weekend.. its THICK!
its been a pain in the *** to weld without it, been doing lots of stuff on the ground/on cinder blocks.. kinda sucked

i would make all the table out of metal , i have one that i built about 6 years ago it is 32'' x 32'' and i made the top out of 3/16'' plate not to hard to move around but very strong
