Default too much ignition timing bad?

Right now i'm running a RevHard 2C turbo kit on my EG with a B16A2 on 6psi. I want to run 8psi...the only thing im concerned about is, im running a chipped P28, that has an NA program that I bought from IH8RICERZ on honda-tech. At 6psi, the car runs great. Would I have any problems turning up the boost to 8-10psi? Would too much advanced ignition cause detonation?

yes there is a chance of detonation if the ignition timing is too advanced. you need to find out the specs on the chip or run a stock ecu.

If I tried it at 8psi witht hat chip, and I don't hear any detonation, does that mean I'm good to go?? Or could I be hurting the motor without me even knowing?

regardless of whether your hurting your motor, you are definatly hurting your performance, I would go ahead, download uberdata, and make a chip that reduces your ignition timing as you see boost, also a great opportunity to ditch the crappy fuel management and get something good.

You dont always hear detonation. Knock sensors rule.
