timing retard
Hey all,
heres my question, i know with around a 50-75 shot your going to want to run your timing retarded a bit. i came across an msd product that retards your timing at a selected rpm (via the pills). just thinking that this is probably better than running with your timing retarded all the time? any comments-flames welcome (not to many flames i hate that!!!!) TIA

I did do a search and found allot of usefull information but not what i really wanted to know, i was under the impression that the 6BTM retarded under boost.. i dont know for surwe can any one help me out? if it only works under boost i am just going to stick with the rpm activated retard. if you guys think thats a bad i dea and i should go full ignition set-up let me know. Thanks allot for the input.
Find SlickGSR99 around here somewhere and bug the hell out of him, and tell him I sent ya
. He is one of the few people who did a correct nitrous set up and he uses the msd box.

The multi stage retard is very good for Nitrous apps. Like the above post, I'd prefer the digital 6, but for cheap-sake, any of the timing retards works for that exact reason. One problem I had when I had my retard box, it reduced timing 2-3degrees just by being on. I think MSD uses microprocessors now or something, maybe that issue had been resolved...
