Depends how it's tuned. There is no specific amount of mileage. I have no idea how many miles are on my LS, and I boost the hell out of it with a conservative tune. I recommend http://www.boosted-hybrid.com By the way, I'd love to have an engine with only 40k on it

There is so many factors you really cant exactly say X amount of boost will be completely "safe". I personally feel that the biggest factors are the tuning/management and the turbo you are running. A small turbo can put out 8psi and so can a larger one, the larger will typically be more powerfull putting more strain on your motor. But if my motor (stock d16y8) can be decently safe with a AFC hack and little IHI turbo, your GSR motor which im sure is more beefy, would hold up just fine. Make sure its intercooled and that your wastegate vacuum hose isnt loose, ive heard too many stories of people losting their motors to something as careless and stupid as that (knock on wood ). After you do install, if you do, make sure to TRIPLE check everything

I'm not trying to be stupid the reason is because I got my Tial 38mm with a .6bar spring and I was wondering if thats okay for this setup?

You need to read more....search around...check out other sites. No one is going to spoon feed you. I decided on a turbo about 2 months ago. I read and read and read for 5 hours a day on average. Then I started to ask serious specific questions and people answered. Now I've purchased 90% of my turbo things and I'll be boosting hardcore very soon. All this because I read. Buy some books..."maximum boost" is a good one. One thing just to start you off; It's not how much boost, but how much HP you want. I can achieve my 280WHP at 5PSI, 10PSI, or 18PSI. It doesn't matter as long as I control my HP and keep a conservative tune.
