I had the same problem too recently, only I got stuck on I-95 and had to get towed . I am going to troubleshoot this with Honda service manual and ETM. Hopefully its something simple like a fuse.

Are you guys sure you even have a low fuel light? I know I don't - as in the car was built without one.

most likely your sending unit needs replaced. The same thing happened to mine. The sending unit is located in the tank behind the fuel pump.

If my 97 Dx has one...yours does. I'd say it's the sending unit and or the bulb in the cluster. I'd check the bulb first though...it's easiest to get to and the cheapest to buy.

No, as long as your gauge is reading correctly your sending unit works fine. The low gas light goes by the position (voltage) of where the needle is. If you have a light and its not working, its most likely your bulb

I have to disagree. Because mine quit working and once I replaced the sending unit it began to work. The low fuel light sensor is made into the sending unit.
