Re: Low Fuel Light.... (civic_speed99)
I had the same problem too recently, only I got stuck on I-95 and had to get towed https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif . I am going to troubleshoot this with Honda service manual and ETM. Hopefully its something simple like a fuse.

Are you guys sure you even have a low fuel light? I know I don't - as in the car was built without one.

Re: Low Fuel Light.... (JRI94)
^ i was gonna say that also but according to your sig's 00 si and 99 EX im sure you have a low fuel light. In my case my 93 si doesn't even have one.

Your guage works right?
Fill up before it gets to that point https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emthup.gif |
Re: Low Fuel Light.... (civic_speed99)
most likely your sending unit needs replaced. The same thing happened to mine. The sending unit is located in the tank behind the fuel pump.

Re: Low Fuel Light.... (SlepT ej6)
If my 97 Dx has one...yours does. I'd say it's the sending unit and or the bulb in the cluster. I'd check the bulb first though...it's easiest to get to and the cheapest to buy.

No, as long as your gauge is reading correctly your sending unit works fine. The low gas light goes by the position (voltage) of where the needle is. If you have a light and its not working, its most likely your bulb |
Re: Low Fuel Light.... (doublejz)
I have to disagree. Because mine quit working and once I replaced the sending unit it began to work. The low fuel light sensor is made into the sending unit.

Re: Low Fuel Light.... (CRITTERMATT)
mine has never worked and i have a 98 dx https://honda-tech.com/forums/images/smilies/emsad.gif

I've never had mine on. Heck I dont even know if I have one.
I drove my car almost 600kms on 35L of fuel and it still didnt come on. I got scared so I filled her up https://honda-tech.com/forums/images...s/emsmilep.gif |
