Default A few Questions for ya guys, Thinkin of switching over :)

Hi guys,
ive been following the boost section for a couple weeks now and im thinkin of switching over.

Right now i have a 2.0 Liter (resleeved) ls/vtec 12:1 Wiseco's and Probe rods the rest of the info is in my profile.
It makes decent power for stock cams 198 hp and 149 torque thru muffler.
Its also an everyday driver, and has given me almost no problems on 91 octain.

But im sort of regretting not researching boost before i spent all this money. I would really like large amount of horspower that comes with turbo to play around with.

Since my motor is sleeved, i can just bore/hone out to 85mm and throw in some pistons and stronger rods.

A few questions i have.

How many of you daily drive your cars?

What are some of the common problems you guys encounter?

how long are your built motors lasting? I know this depends on how you drive and amount of boost. But in general.

Thanks Guys

Arin

First of all, I'd be scared to bore to 85mm and then run any decent amount of horsepower... sleeved or not.

12.0/1 is a good compression ratio for boost.... if you run methenol

You might be able to keep the 84mm and just re-hone it if you are lucky. You would really have to pop the head off and take a few measurements of your cylinders and see if you can get away with it.
