i've done some research lately, and found out how easy it is to swap in a 94-01' gsr motor into my 95' civic DX. i've read a lot of threads and the info. that i gathered is that the wiring harnesses will plug right into the civic chassis harness. i also got the picture of all the mounts to use and stuff. and the picture of the wiring diagram with the ECU, showing which pins to add wire too. but i've confused, throughout all the threads that i read through, 1/2 the people says that you have to add vtec, vtec solinoid, vtec ground, knock sensor, and a few other ones. but the other 1/2, says that i only have to add the knock sensor and IAB ( Secondary Intake Runner Control) because 92-95' civic already come pre-wired with all the vtec wires...is this true? i wouldn't want to run into bad suprises when i do the install...so could you guys who have experience with this swap into a 92'95' civic let me know? which wires i would REALLY need to add? here are the links where i gathered my info. thx

o yeah, one other thing, when i add the extra wires that is needed, to do tap those wires into the civic chasis harness? or the gsr engine wiring harness? i never did find an answer for that in any of the threads that i searched through.

ive heard that only the 92 models did..but i am not much more help than that.. but yea just look at a pinout for the ecu and check your cars wiring to see.

 

 

 

yours is a 94 so you will more then likely have to add all those wires. only 92 civics came pre-wired for vtec.
