Default boost leak question, this time I cant find it.

I'm working on finding a boost leak. I hooked up electric air pump to my charge pipes and it sits at 7psi. 7psi is where my boost controller is set to. When I drive, I will hit 7psi quickly then drop to 5psi. I assume this is a major boost leak since it used to not do this. I have had plenty boost leaks in the past but soapy water + the air pump would always find them. Anyone have any ideas?

yea I checked and even zip tied them, I actually improved the vaccume at idle. I disconnected the host going to the wastegate for one test, so its not the wastgate.

sometimes the leak in the charge piping is not visible by eye. Try feeling around your piping.

Well Its most likely a leak not any parts malfunctioning. As you said before it gets boost but it drops, so check all connections and make sure that none of the charge piping is not leaking or cracked. Let us know what happened and how you fixed it.

Another thing to check is your air filter if the boost builds up and then drops but used to be stable. Just happened to me. now i run no filter. aren't I cool?
