Boost leak
Hey guys im going nuts here. I think i have a vaccum leak somewhere but i cant find it . My boost controler isnt controlling my boost, and my wastegate isnt either. Im using a turbonetics but i switched it to a tial and it didn't work either. If i go full throttle my boost wont stop it will continue to climb. I have a 7-9psi spring in the wastegate and a blitz boost controller. The point being, there must be leak somewhere, and i need to find it or i cant tune my car, since i cant control the boost. Any and all help would be greatly appreciated. Ive heard of using propane aswell as carb cleaner or a smoke machine but i would like to do it myself so any do it yourself solutions would kick ***. Thanx guys.

Re: Boost leak (turbo se)
check all couplers on piping, one could be loose, and double check ALL vacuum lines, but a vaccuum leak will cause a high idle, im sure a piping leak will not, but im not sure!

Re: Boost leak (turbo se)
on my turbo there is an outlet for a vacuum line, Hook that straight to your wastegate bypassing the boost controller to see if that works. If it does, you've narrowed the problem down to the boost controller. Check your throttle body gasket. My friend had a killer vacuum leak causing all kinds of idling problem and it was that gasket.

Re: Boost leak (turbo se)
u may also wanna check for pinched vacuum lines running to ur wastegate or boost controller. pinched line means wg never reads desired boost meaning it never opens up and spools forever. look carefully for lines that come close to anywhere it might be slightly squished. good luck
