this has happened a few times now......whne i have the car in teh acc position (not fully on but using the radio)......like after 30 mins if i goto start the car, the battery is already dead by then
then i gotta kick start it and it works fine....i DONT GET IT
it my other car i used to leave teh car in the acc position and blast my system for hours at a time....and this car i can't even listen to teh radio for 30mins

How many times did you listen to your radio in the acc position before your battery would die? (does it take only one 30 minute session of listening to your radio to kill your battery?) It sounds like your battery isn't getting charged from your alternator. Do you have an extensive stereo system?

How old is the battery? I agree with the guy above me, it may be that your alternator is going bad and not charging the battery correctly when the car is running. If your battery is old, start with that and change it out. If it dies again, change the alternator. If you have a high powered sound system, you would probably want to have the car running when you're blasting it. Even still, if you do have a high powered system, you should be running capacitors to help it out. I'm betting it's your alternator.

Don't go changine parts right away. Test them first.
grab a voltmeter and, with a fully charged battery, check voltage. You should get 12.6 V.
then start the car, raise rpm to 2000 them check again. Voltage should be over 14 V.
If not, look at the battery cables first for corrosion and such.
THen if your battery is still dying, without it being charged by the alternator, replace the battery.
If you are not charging at all, replace alternator..

you can check both the alternator and batter in the car
definitely check it out soon cuz a bad battery can put excess strain on the alternator and cause it to go bad and visa versa

hey man, when your running an amp, you cant sit with your car in the Acc position and expect to listen to music for 30 minutes like that, it can possible drain the battery, i think the best thing for you to do if the problem only turns out to be the battery, is to get yourself an optima red or yellow top battery, they are really good, gel cell, and they last a lot longer than normal battery's...so give it a gander, see if you can fit that into the budget...

Also check the water levels...pull off the 2 caps (this will hinder/prevent a good charge)

Both kragen and autozone will check your charging system and battery for free while it's in your car. If you want a more extensive check on your alternator, you'll have to remove it and have them bench test it. Good luck.
I had exact same issue.... its the battery. My walmart special died after 1 1/2 years... got a new one i can sit and bump my 2 15's for at least a couple hours now.... or until the cops come.....eeeeeeeeekkkkkkkkkkk
I'm all new to cars, and I'm having the same problem with the battery. It is always dead when i start the car in the mornings. I was wondering how I check the waterlevel and how to add more, and what kind...
thanks in advance,

kilroy, on the top of the battery there should be 2 removable tops that you can pop off with a flat head screw driver. The liquid inside the battery should be level with the bottom of the peep/fill holes in the battery. I think you can buy special electrode liquid or you can mix purified water with something you buy at an autoparts store. I don't know. I've never had to fill my battery. Can anyone chime in on this one?
i just got my battery tested and he said it wasn't holding the charge........but i just put it back in teh car and am gonna keep using it till it dies.....is there any problem with doing that?
