I finally got my boost gauge installed tonight so now I can trouble shoot my boost leak.. Im hitting just under .2bar or around 2.8psi or so.. My wastegate is not opening up and I have a .3bar spring.. ive narrowed it down to my BOV.. Im pretty sure its the problem but not 100% sure.. Last weekend we realized I had a boost leak through my BOV so we tightened it up a whole lot and were able to get my wastegate to open.. But the other day the wastegate stopped opening up again.. Now I have the BOV as tight as it goes and it still leaks boost.. Is there anything that could be causeing the BOV to open up prematurly or is it probably just a defective BOV?

If your wastegate wasn't opening you'd be boosting 20+ psi, That must be some major leak, you checked all your piping?
So you have a .3 bar spring... but you are getting .2 bar.. where is the side port on the wastegate tapped? If it is the compressor then you are just getting loss across the intercooler.

I had a similiar problem.. I had a leak it was the exhaust manifold gasket... then we found the clamps on the IC piping
needed to be tightened.. still hitting low 2.8 psi. we changed wastegates.. still nothing changed, BUT the car runs stronger.
So I've boiled it down too the boost gauge is faulty. I've been stressn over it for weeks, I feel your pain!
I just dont see how its the BOV valve thats faulty, what wastegate are you running?
CHECK YOUR IC PIPING! make sure there is no leaks and did you change the exhaust manifold gasket when installing it?

Damnit I was bored all day today but im about to go out now.. Expect a call from me tomorow though..
you are taking the vacuum source from the wrong spot! Drill and tap a hole into the piping before the IC. Use a -6 stainless or 8mm rubber hose to connect the side of the w/g to the source. You should get full boost in all gears.
