adding rear speakers

Default adding rear speakers

i have a 92' civic, i have a jvc 180 watt haedunit, stock front speaker, i currently want to replace the front speakers to something better and add rear speakers at the same time, there is current;y no rear speakers, do i need to run wire or anything, what do i need just 4 new speakers? do i need an amp?

you need to replace the stock front ones, they suck and cant be amplified. get 2 sets of alpine R1 6 1/2" components. one set for the front, the other for the back. with a little fiberglass work, you can make the back ones work out. Thats what i did. all the wires run from the amp to each speaker (provided you have a 4 channel amp). it'll take about an afternoon to finish, but will be well worth it when youre done.

what i would do if i were in your shoes is get the front spreakers and instead of getting rears get an amp for the fronts. the end result is much much better.

I agree, but get a 4 channel amp so that you can bridge two of them to run a small sub

Rear speaker leads are already run on all Hondas.
