How many amp do i need??????
Supps guys,
I wondering how many amps do u need to run a 1 pair of 6x9 (rear), 1 pair 6" (rear), 2 10inch subs (rear), 1 pair 61/2" (front), 1 pair of tweeters (front) and 1 4" speaker (front).
Thanks in advance guys.

Why so many speakers?
Lose the back 6" speakers and get a nice component system for the front, then run the interior speakers with one amp (200x4 should do), then get 1 amp for the rear subs (500x2 wouldn't be too bad). Make sure you have two sets of preouts first from your HU. This setup would sound nice IMO, but who cares about that

Agreed
If I were you I'd ditch the 6 x 9's straight away and probably the rear 6 inchers as well. It's not all bad to have those 6 speakers in the front if you want to spend time tuning but you may want something simpler like a nice set of speaker/tweeter components or just lose the 4 inch speakers.
Either way I'd suggest 2 amps, one to supply plenty of power to the fronts and the other for the subs. If you really want to keep the rears you could just run them off the headunit.

he probably didn't do too well then. it may have been loud, but it probably sounded like donkey crap. Ditch at least one of the rear speakers, if not both, and possibly ditch the 4" unless its in a nice spot like a kick panel or something. too many speakers will sound real bad.

Well, if you're gonna use all those speakers, here's what I would do:
run the 6.5 and 6" from a 4 channel amp
run the 6 inch and the subs (wired in parallel if your amp can handle a 2 ohm load, that way you can bridge the two rear channels on the amp - this will give plenty of power to the subs as long as you get a decent sized amp) from the another 4 channel amp
Run the tweets and 4 inchers from the 4 channel amp on the head unit. I would suggest using appropriately sized capacitors wired in series with the pos wire of these 4 speakers to filter out lower freqs.
In short, use a 4ch, 40+watts/ch amp for the 6 and 6.5s
Then use a 4 ch, 75+ watts/ch amp for the 6x9s and subs
Use the receiver's built in amp for the 4's and tweets.
Hope this helps!
