Default concerned about my safety lol

Aright i have a 93 del sol si...im having this strange problem every now and then of the car not starting if it stalls...now turning it off and turning it on is no problem but once it stalls it takes a minute of it sitting for it to fire again...any suggestions? kinda dont want this to happen in an intersection...serious replys only not ******** telling me i should learn how to drive standard better and not stall it...its just something that happens now and then

When you try to start it, does it even crank? Or does it just make a clicking noise? If it just makes a click noise, it's probably your starter. If it cranks, but does not turn over, it could be several things - such as fuel, spark, etc.

it spins fine...like i said only does it once its been stalled

shouldnt worry about stallin on the streets check the alternator if that is weak or not workin right u could ez start up but then stall

Had that prob with my prelude, the distributor was bad. Honda's dist's arent the greatest in the world..................John

fuel problem perhaps?

there's a lotta variables for this one.. spark, fuel or vaccum problems for starters....

remember though only does it when its stalled not on normal startups

check out your main relay, if you are any good at electronics you can fix it, the solder joints inside the relay crack and when it heats up they seperate a little, this relay controls your fuel pump

there are plenty of posts on this problem, check them out in the archives for more info

the haynes manual says that a bad fuel fuel filter can cause hard warm startups
