clicking noise when starting

clicking noise when starting
car makes a click noise then starts up like a second later when the ignition is turned.. anybody have a clue what it could be? starter? main relay?

when you turn the key to ON postion before you try and crank it or you try and crank,click, and then turns over??

its making the noise while cranking.. so i turned my key to fire it up but it clicks first

thats weird but at my work i drive alot of different cars (i detail them) when a battery is dead or low it clicks but it usualy wont start unless you jump it. i would take the battery to kragens they will check it for free.

Possibly signs that your starter is going out. I know when my starter on my DA was going out it was clicking sometimes before it would fire.
