What can go wrong with me running off the downpipe for a day or two?
I can't get my downpipe hooked up to my cat for a day or two, is there anything that can happen to my motor? I'm trying to avoid driving my car due to the noise level and a slight oil leaking from the return line problem.
what can go wrong: you getting pulled over by a cop for a noise ticket, then getting busted for the parts on your car and for not using a catylytic converter (big fine!).
Other than that, running open DP is probably safer for your car than more restrictive piping + cat.

watch for these things:
boost creep
running lean
traction problems
police officers
Other than that, go for it!

You guys act like I'm doing this because I want to. I have an appointment for wedsnday, that the soonest i could do, that's why I'm avoiding drinving my car.
Well, I intemded to run off the cat for the track in a week or so, you still think fuel would be such a problem? The AVC-R seems to do a good job of watch ******* the boost so I'm not too worried about that, but about leaning out!
