I just charge the battery and replaced the altenator but somehow everytime I let my car sit for a long time the car can't start anymore. I think something is draning my power has anyone run into this type of problem before?

 

Is your alternator charging your battery??

 

I dont think so I just drove the car turned it off then truned it back on but I can hear it struggling power wise. Its gotta be something draning the battery I just dont know what.

 

Narrow down the problems.. Start the car and check the voltage with a volt meter.. It should be 13.8 or higher when the car is running..

Also check the voltage from the battery while is disconnected from the car.. It should be 12.5 or so..

 

I have seen that happen when you have a weak battery AND an alarm. The alarm would then drain the already weak battery.
