Default determining oil pressure

For a b16a my research has said the the oil pressure should be 50 psi at 3k rpm and mine's running high, I'm wondering if the hose going to my oil pressure sender would cause this if it was a smaller hose (1/8 npt) because I've seen that many haved used 1/4. If not my hose, then what?

A small hose to the sender would make the gauge a bit slower to respond to pressure changes, but it won't change the steady pressure. Maybe you're using a thicker-weight oil? Maybe the oil isn't warmed up completely? Maybe you're using the wrong sender? Maybe the gauge isn't as accurate as you think? How high is it anyway?

I'm using vavoline 10w-30 synthetic max life, I have a autometer oil gauge that came with a sensor and when the oil is completely warmed it idles at 30psi and at 3k it is at 70psi and during vtech it is constant at 80psi... any thoughts?

No no, it is one of those kids computers, not the phone, those usually run 80-90PSI.

[Psst.......it is VTEC, NOT vtech]
