Default lightened flywheel stalling, already searched

Looking through the old topics most issues are covered about using a lightened flywheel. I recently just installed a ACT Prolite, the 9lb. model, and for the most part it runs great. However, the problem that I do have with it is that the engine stalls when I release the clutch coming to a stop. I realize that this is due to the lack of inertia now with the lighter flywheel, but is there someway to counteract this affect? Perhaps raising the idle? Some of the more common problems that were mentioned in old topics was the inconsistent idle and stalling when starting from a stop. The idle of the car at a standstill is fine there isn't much fluctuation, steady around the stock 700-800, and getting the car moving isn't a problem either. Has anyone else had similar issues or do you simply deal with it?

thanks

I have the ClutchMasters in my JRSC'ed EM1 and had the same problem. I raised the idle and the stalling happens less now, but for the most part I just deal with it. The flywheel is too light for a street car anyway, I should have gone with one 10lbs or above.

Adjust the throttle body bleed screw to let in more air.

I have the ACT Streetlite on my civic. It usually idles fine, but sometimes likes to stall out. When it does that I just turn on the headlights and the extra power draw raised the idle point slightly and then I don't have a problem with the idle.

I had the same problem with my turbo miata. I installed a 9.5lb flywheel. I only had the stalling problem with the a/c on and it seemed to be worse at night when I had the lights on. I raised the idle alittle this helped some. But I had to pretty much just live with it.

sounds like it shouldn't be as big of a problem as it is, so i'll raise the idle a bit and see if that helps. check back later. thanks
