Default This is weird...see if it makes any sense to you...

So i'm driving my car and jump on it...runs like a champ...again..again..again. Then after I do it a few times and i go to do it again, it misfires and doesnt pull strong to redline. Sounds like an ignition problem. Coil ? Ignition Box? Wires? Cap? Rotor? If it is one of those though, how come it runs good and then all of a sudden runs like ***. The Coil/cap/Box are MSD and are all about 3 years old. Maybe time for a new coil? what do u guys think?

I had the same problem a while back and turned out it was the damn MSD wires. Not sure what wires your running but go with stock Honda.

With the upgrade to the ignition, wouldn't the smaller wires defeat some of the purpose of having the ignition and cap?

Have you inspected your spark plugs? If you do still have the stock wires laying around, no sense in not trying it out to see if the car runs fine.

you know what, you may be right. I just went out there and regapped the plugs again and it seems like the gap got bigger from last time. Right now i'm running a BKR7E with a .029 - .030 gap. Running 13.2psi

what plug should i run? Is it possibly its getting so hot in there the plug is expanding when heated after a while, and then the gap goes to big and therefore runs like ***?

maybe the plug just needs to be gapped smaller...or it needs a colder plug? I'm not sure.

ight as well try a smaller gap before going to buy colder plugs, I think that should solve the problem

no, not the distributor. I regapped the plugs last night and took it for a ride and it ran good. Maybe the plugs just need to be gapped smaller...the only thing i can really think of.

hey..if your car starts sounding like a "helicopter" and is unable to make boost...( i had this problem before )...it is your wires!!...I had MSD wires once...replaced them with stockers..and problem was resolved.
