Default MSD Wires: Cooked my ignition???

Just installed MSD 8.5s in my car...they are 50 ohm/ft wires...msd says stock is around 10Kohm.

Didnt click, but the lower resistance would mean a much larger current drain from the coil and I think that might be what fucked me.

Synopsis:

Plugged in MSd's (in wrong order)...woudnt run right (obviously)
Plugged stocks in the correct order (ran fine)
PLugged msds back in the right order....cranked the car and it wouldnt start anymore.

I<m not gettting any spark anymore on stocks or MSD wires....I,m suspecting the ignitor from past experience with d series.

Has anyone ever heard of this...NO where did I read or hear of low resistance wires requiring modifications to the ignition system.

I've never heard of that happening, but I take the igniters from every junkyard honda I see due to their high failure rate.

No the wires aren't to blame. You probably unhooked something along the way. Pull a spark plug but keep the wire connected, hold it up to bare metal on the chassis or engine, crank the engine, and see if you're getting spark. If so, then check if you're getting fuel.

"Low resistance wires" do not benefit your car in any way BTW. Magnecor makes the best wires and they actually have a higher resistance than most.

Ya I know...I found that out after getting these...no matter...they were cheaper than stock wires and I saw a wire review that showed a gain of 4 HP over stock so why not.

Nah...nothing is unplugged ...I checked the voltage as per the shop manual.
