Engine Starting
Seeking any opinions or advice on starting an engine that has not been used in almost 5 years. The specifics on the car: 92 Honda Prelude Si (Car was in a minder fender bender and stored ever since) Already acquired all the necessary components to restore car so any advice before i proceed would be greatly appreciated!
Search, I've seen something like this not too long ago...
Take off valve cover, check out timing belt.
Take out all sparkplugs, put a little oil in each cylinder, turn over by hand to make sure everything turns OK.
Crank with starter to circulate oil. Maybe drain & put new oil in.
Put plugs back in & start it.
Change oil, antifreeze, brake fluid, & whatever else you can think of.
Make sure the brakes work before you actually drive it.
Look for those other threads, I've probably forgotten some.
