Hello everyone. Last time I posted I was just about to get a turbo installed in my car (Integra LS 97). Now I'm posting because I need to rebuild the engine that blew up.

Here is what I need to know.

My turbo might be damaged. I'm sending it back to REVHARD to have it checked out. It was loose so the shop I'm at now thinks that it is broken. There might be particles in it. But, is a rebuilt turbo reliable? It is a t3/t4. How much does it typically cost to rebuild a turbo?

take the housings on the turbo off and check the wheels out... how much play is there in the shaft?

 

I just went to see the car. My engine came in and I'm just waiting on the tranny.

As for the turbine, there is a little play on the shaft. The fan on the compressor side jiggles a little (maybe 1 cm or something like that - very small yet noticeable). I'm having it sent out and redone by turbotecnics.

Update:

I'm waiting on the internals for later. I'm just getting my engine and boosting at 7lbs daily and 10 racing. I have upgraded the torque converter to level ten.

did u check the wheels or not?! dont waste ur money sending it out if there is nothing wrong with it... take off the compressor housing and the exhuats housing and at least take a look

 

there was oil leaking from the turbine, the seals are shot. I'm just having those redone.
