Default Fuel/computer setup

Okay I was planning on getting a drag III kit and just running 9psi on stock internals but I think I came across a good deal on eagle rods and JE pistons sooooo I think I'll get and install now so when I get my turbo I can boost maybe like 15psi daily? My questions are will 550's be big enough injectors, and what's the cheapest but effective way to run my fuel/ignition? This turbo setup is really draining the account!!! BTW 01 GSR.

from my understanding if you go with 550's, you have to go standalone. i was told that the highest you could go is 370's tuned via V-AFC.

550's is the limit of injector size a stock ecu can handle... with of course some sort of computer to lean them out

afc will idle the 550 but if you want a good idle go w/ 440

Will 440's deliver enough fuel for like 15psi? I think that would be around 335-350hp?

370'S WITH AN AFC WILL RUN 17 POUNDS IF TUNED CORRECTLY. I RUN 15 POUNDS ALL DAY LONG AND HAVE NO PROBLEMS.

Hey if you are going to spend the money on new injectors u might as well get the 440, so if u ever build up the bottom end you can go up as 18psi and you won't have to upgrade your fuel setup again.

how can u run a 12:1 fmu with 440cc injectors at 20psi of boost that would make 240psi of fuel at the fuel rail thats know way in hell the fuel pump cant pump that much fuel and u would be rich rich rich as hell

more like a 4:1 disk in the fmu

Ok, whoever the all-caps guru is up there that says you can run 370s @ 17psi, some sort of rising rate regulator is required. 370cc injectors cannot provide enough fuel for even 10psi boost @ 40psi static fuel pressure.

Anybody know anything about the new greddy e-manage? How does it compare to the V-afc which is about the same price?

the fuel pressure only goes as high as the pump will pump it-no,it does not go to 240 psi.the set-up works, trust me.

So I think I"ll go w/ the 440's and try to tune them w/ a V-afc or maybe the new greddy system once I get more info on it. Does this sound good?

The GReddy E-manage is like a step up from the base FCU that comes with GReddy kits. Allows you to interact with the software and dial it in as you see fit. Rather go with a true standalone like Hondata or AEM EMS personally if I'd went with a motor build etc..
