Yes that's a straight T4 and it will be laggy. Are you doing heavy engine mods? Raised redline? Straight all-out Drag car? If not, get another turbo.. this would be bad on the street.

what engine is it going on? either way its probably still gonna be too big unless you've got nothing but dragging in mind.

yeah, you're goign to get full boost... by about 5000rpm or so. plus the 6800 redline on the LS wont' help you one bit.

i heard this turbo used on a b16 motor built boost at around 3000 rpm... that's coming from an engine tuner too..

Your engine tuner is dreaming if you're describing that turbo accurately. With an 0.48 A/R T3 turbine I'm building boost at around 3200 on my B18C... A full T4 is completely out of place on a B18B unless you've got some mass work on it to raise redline to something reasonable.

Yeah, on that turbo there is no way it is boosting that early. Just not possible. That size turbo is best suited to a much larger engine, and/or one with a higher redline.

hey dbman, have you dyno'd your B18C yet? I'm curious as to how your HP and TQ curves would look with the .48 housing (good spool-up tho!). I'm thinking it (the curves) would come back down before redline. But I would love to see a dyno to varify my conclusions.

I want to see the curves too! I have a .48A/R going into my D16 here very shortly and would like to see if there is a drop-off at all. Thanks!

Actually I think that .48 A/R on a D series would be perfect!

So no drop off? It has a Stage 3 wheel too! Hopefully it will pull my *poor little* D16 to redline on an upslope!!!

Ironically, my car is sitting on a dyno right now but I'm having some technical difficulties getting a decent curve out of it; I'm on my way out to the dyno room right now to see if I can get it figured out.

Edit: see topic "Dyno Plot!!!" which I just posted for my #s
