Default What sound deadener?

Well I have heard of all kinds. Is there a difference? What do you use and why? How much of my delsol should I do? I have an all Alpine sys. 9833 headunit ,Type R 6.5 all around, and one 10" R in the trunk. Also I have a little rattle comming from the trunk area, will sound deadening stop this? Thanks.

go cheap - brown bread...just about as effective, with a MUCH better adhesive than dynamat.

However, dynamat - even the original, works nicely as an aperiodic membrane since its softer...the brownbread is thinner, and about 3/4's as heavy....but the price makes up for it - you could always double up on trouble areas.

I have 70 ft of BrownBread in my car, very nice stuff. It can get a little messy on the install, but if you take your time it is easy to use. And like previously stated, the adhesive is bit better than the dynamat.

behind the rear speakers on both side is an open cavity, also the door panels make a good difference. While your doing the doors, also take off the window rubber track, get some weatherstriping cement, and cement it back on.

I didn't follow my own advice, and my rubber came of the damn track....and it's all covered mat.....ugh....

If it's a rattle, you better going with open-cell foam in that area. do deaden a panel, u'd use mass-loading or stuff like dynamat.
I've used Dynamat, Raammat, Brown Bread, Edead.....
this is what I did:
Rammatted my upper reear deck. Used Brown Bread on the lower of my rear deck. and used LIQUID Edead V3 in my trunk. I also have 2 layers in my doors.... I've used Second Skin's Rattle Pad where I have rattle and now it is gone.

and yes, u dont need Dynamat, Brown Bread will work just as good, trust me,
Check out my www for detailed install pics of deadening. http://www.sounddomain.com/id/loulax07

to be safe and what would work best, is a sheet of deadening then foam on top

OH, and OSU SUX!!!!! GO BLUE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
