replacing spark plugs.
In general, How would the spark plugs be replaced. is it as simple as taking the old ones out and placing the new ones in without any other complications?
Yes...just be sure not to break or crack the porcelain housing around the spark plug
. They have sockets that are made for spark plugs that have a rubber insert to prevent that porcelain from cracking.
Also to make sure you do not mess up the firing order with your dizzy, pull one spark plug wire and plug at a time and replace when you're done...that way you won't have to worry as to what wire goes with what plug (even thought they are length oriented too)

The spark plug access hole must be clean and cleaned twice at least. Compressed air is awfully nice to have. A little dab of Anti seize must be applied to the clean plug threads.
Silicon, or better yet a "di-electric" grease must be used in the rubber boot in insure a good connect and disconnect.
The torque is 12 to 15 "foot pounds" as I recall.
On the 4 banger, I pull all four at once, it is nigh impossible to mess up reconnecting.
NKG seem to be the best; but the jury is still out on the platinums.

IMO get ngk since it's cheaper. stick with copper plugs best bang for $ and change them once a year since they are easy to do in a I4. if you have a V6 i would suggest iridiums since those 3 plugs in the back are something i don't want to change ever year.

Not yet, miedosoracing, maybe in another week or so, I'll be up to changing the oil( now annually),( I used to do this every 3 months !) and doing the annual service..This will be easy, and easier yet with my nifty air wrench powered with 25 year old rebuilt $18 air compressor - this unit is supposed to put out 6.6 SCFM at 90 PSI.
