puttin stock suspension back in.. have a few q's??

Default puttin stock suspension back in.. have a few q's??

93 ex. gay *** suspension APC coils, and they are ******* bouncy.. and old. i need to sell this car, so i'm trying to put stock springs back in, do i have to get the springs compressed? heard u just can't slip them back in.. lemme know

go rent a spring compressor from autozone.. take them off then return the compressor

well i talked to dad, he wants me to take it to shop, and i called up a local shop and they are charging me 140 bux, to put stock springs back in?! that normal or what.. saying 2 hours of labor to compress springs and put them in..

You can actually put the stock springs back on with out a spring compressor. You just need two sets of jacks.

You can use the jack to compress the spring while in place on the shocks, then tighten the bolt on top of the shock. Its hard to explain in writing but if you analyze it, you can do it yourself.

Sounds sketch, although I do see what you are thinking. Big Danger of one of the jacks slipping. Spring Compressor. 24 dollars. Autozone. Use it, then get your 24 bucks back, including tax. If you break them, they give you a new one, and you still get your money back.

One of the easiest things you can do yourself. Save yourself 140 bucks.
