To wire my 01 GSR motor into my 99 Civic was a pain in the ***. I would just pay the 100 bucks. Haha.

I have the same swap in the same exact car. The rewire is so simple and you can do it urself. The easiest way is to buy the sub harness from hasport which simply plugs the five wires you need right in and costs around $75-90 depending on where you get it. The other way requires you to get honda ecu pins(5) and wires to run from each of the sensors. Go to hybridgarage.com for the ecu pin numbers and directions(note that this can look sloppy compared to the hasport method). Its easy, and by doing it yourself, you can have peace of mind. Let me know if you need any more info.

the only thing you need to re wire is... knock and IAB to the ecu.. and wire up the vtec to the strut tower connection.. you should have existing prewired vtec already..... you dont have to wire up the IAB you wont throw a code jsut keep the secondary line off it you will run fine till you wire it up

He doesnt have prewired vtec unless it had an sohc vtec motor. Only the 92 civics were all wired with vtec. True he doesnt need to wire the butterflies, which are the IABs. But he does need to wire the vtec solenoid, vtec oil pressure, vtec ground, and the knock sensor.
