Default TWM ITB Wide open throttle problem

I have the TWM ITBs installed on my 1994 JDM Prelude VTEC. When depressing the throttle fully, the ITBs will not open to their full position.

I have removed the accelerator pedal stop to help things but the throttle plates still wont open fully then the pedal is on the floor. There does not seem to be any form of adjustment on the TWM linkage either.

Has anyone had the same problem when fitting these?

There has to be away to solve this with adjusting the throttle cable.

fully depress the throttle and there is a linkage bar that connects the throtle rotor to the blades. turn it and look at it with a mirror. after you do that you need to get a monometer and adjust the blades down the line the same way.

scientific way............(very sarcastic)

Bend the pedal up! I had that same problem today, we just bent the gas pedal rod and got 100% open throttle.

Good Luck!

that works for sure!! .. or you can attach the cable at the pedal farther up instead of in its traditional location.

I just mounted my TWM ITBs on my engine (on an engine stand) and I noticed that the throttle cam hits the knock sensor before the butterflies are fully open. Did you run into this problem? I also noticed that the post on the throttle return spring hits the water pipe between the water pump and thermostat housing. Any of you run into this problem as well?

What kind of throttle cable are you guys using? The stock Prelude throttle cable appears to be much too short.
