Well got everything done tonight and installed and started her up. Started a little rough but then ran fine. I reved up and the turbo spools up but i'm not sure if it's creating any boost because the Boost guage isn't picking it up. Can anyone help me? Also there looks like there is some smoke coming from the Manifold would this cause it to not boost?

 

you cant make boost in neutral, you must be in gear moving...there is no load on the engine in neutral

A major exhaust leak before the turbo would be very noticeable when driving, you would most likely only boost a few pounds. But like it was said above, you must be putting a load on your motor to build boost.

 

thanks man, appreciate the help. When I'm driving it It does spool up and go faster but not as fast as I would thought for 8 psi. I may have an exhaust leak on my downpipe though but I will check it out.

 

funny thing is, i'll hear thse lil t25 or similar rev....then get a loud psssshhhhh! i try that with my t3/t4 and i get a very lil pssshhh. it's kool tho, them lil suckers would be way to tiny for me, but it's dope how them tiny turbos get to do that.
