Default difference between base and sh motors

Im thinking of buying a new long block and a guy from a local board has a 98 h22a4 sh long block, I tried the search but my question is any difference in motors from base and sh or is it only in the tranny and the suspension of the car?

you'll need to modify the blook to receive the longer driveshafts of the base motor. it's much less hassle to buy a base a4 block.

Ok here are the differences between the motors: SH oil filter location is accessable from the top the Base is in the typical location (that is it for the physical differences in the motors), and the transmissions are different, and suspensions of the two Preludes are different. These are the only differences, you do not need to modify the block to recieve driveshafts from the base, how did that come up? The base tranny will bolt right up to the SH block, since you are going to be swapping in the motor and it will already be out you can just bolt it up and proceed with the swap just like you would with any other Accord H22A swap. The only time you get into modification is if your are going to drop ATTS off an SH which I am not going to get into. The engine codes for the Blocks are both H22A4 the transmission code is how you tell an SH from a base.
