crank angle sensor... location and installation... help
my ecu is flashing 4 times and i looked it up and said it was the crank angle sensor i just need help on finding it and repairing it. does anyone know where there is a detailed step by step procedure? its an obdo motor from a 90 civic
That sensor is located in the distributor. It is the center sensor rotor. You can check the pickup by measuring the resistance between the blu/grn & blu/yel wires at the distributor plug. It should measure 350-700 ohms. Also check the sensor rotor for any chips in the teeth.

Also check the shaft for side to side play. (usually accompanied by brown dust)
