Default slight hesitation

when i am driving usually in 1st and 2nd gear what happens is there is a slight hesitation almost in the acceleration, usually happens around 2500-3000 rpm and when i get past three it seems like the car wants to take off....what could it be?

Sounds exactly like my car about a month ago. Bogged from 2-3k, then just took off after that. Replaced the o2 sensor, and its been running like a champ ever since. The check engine light only came on after i drove for a while, and would not show up if i restarted the car.

Are you getting any check engine lights?
