Default IAT sensor code P0113 (High Voltage Input)

I am having the code P0113 come up and I was wondering if someone could tell me some possible problems that could cause this code. I have already checked the sensor and it is fine.

What is the IAT sensor resistance after the car has cooled down for awhile?

When the car is cool, outside temp. 65-70 the resistance was 2k ohms and when I ran it for a while to normal operating temperature the resistance was .8k ohms.

make sure you used the right harness connection to the IAT if you recently unhooked the harness.

Since you have a scantool:

Turn ignition 'on' and check IAT with scantool.

Is -4*F or 5v indicated?

If NO, intermittent problem.

If YES, then disconnect the IAT sensor 2p connector and short this connector with a piece of wire.

Does the scantool indicate -4*F or 5V?

If NO, replace the sensor.

If YES, turn the ignition off and connect a jumper wire to *96-98 uses D8 and D11, 99-00 uses C18 and C25*, turn the ignition back on and check IAT.

Is -4*F or 5v indicated?

If NO, repair the open in the preceeding two wires.

If YES, substitute a known good ECU. If IAT checks out normal, replace the original ECU.
