what does a tourque dampner do?

prevents the engine from moving too much inbetween shifts and launching. helps with wheel hop

Would also recommend motor mounts, do the same as the torque dampner and are much less expensive(if you install yourself). Did a redline 1-2 shift today and barely chirped the tires going into second, stock tires stuck like a champ.

elimates flex between your engine. It also helps cure shifting as there is not much flex or movement on the tranny/engine.

Did you use them both at the same time? I have just the mm's right now(boy that install was fun), but may be looking at a torque dampner in the future. If you used them at the same time, what was your impression of the setup?

No i had them on two diff. rsx's. First one i had mm and the vibration got crazier the longer they were in they did good for how much they cost. Now i got the torque dampner i like it way better no vibration at all and it holds just as good as the mm did.

You can find the Energy Suspension motor mounts for around $25-30.
