Default 97 civic ex motor into a 99 civic ex

I had a question, I aquired a 99 civic ex shell with all the wiring but no engine. A friend is giving me his 97 civic ex motor. I have already dropped the motor in and install most of the plugs. The only thing is the 97 distributor plug wiring is different from the 99. Also I have one plug hanging near the cat which appears to be to the o2 sensor. I did not see a plug for the front o2 sensor near the header. Has anyone dropped 97 ex motor into a 99, and what wiring problems are there.
Thanks for any help.

u need the o2 on the header, so find it, the o2 on the cat can be bipassed with an o2 simulator...try, http://www.o2simulator.com, just bought one my self. As for the distributor, most are similar, if the plugs are different, im sure u can buy a 99 ex distrib and it mounts right up...

ex to ex, wiring should be the same, both are obd2
