i just bought 9:1 c.r. pistons, forged rods, and a zex 59300cam for my z6....then i got an offer i couldnt refuse for my 94 ex-coupe...so is it ok to use these in a y8? cuz im buyin a 98 ex-coupe now. will the c.r. be the same? rods work? cam fit?
i've also noticed there is a larger aftermarket for the z6 motors...will i be able to use all of those parts for my new y8?

Really??
I thought that was a common thing for people to use the Y8 oil pan on a z6 because it's aluminum...

i don't know about the olipans, but the oil pump is not interchangeable,i once ordered a y8 oil pump for my y8 block, and they send me a z6 pump, after i installe it,i realize that it doesn't have the openning for the oil dip stick
the trannys are interchangeable,i was using a z6 and now i am using a y8 one.
the cams are interchangeable, but a z6 cam installed on a y8 is off 5 degrees and viceversa.
