the y8 oil pan will fit the z6 block ONLY if u changed the oil pump and pick-up to the y8, BUT the z6 pan will not work on the y8 because u will not have a dipstick anymore

from what i understand the y8 oil pumps arent as efficient as the z6 pumps do to a change in the design. I have a 2000 non vtec engine that i will be mating with a y8 vtec head, so im wondering if i can put in a z6 oil pump. thanks.
