D15B7 turbo?
Hey guys just need some help. I was planing on running a turbo on my D15b7, because i am not able to afford an engin swap. I was going to get a t25 and only run 5 to 8psi max. Im not sure really what are the engine can handle so i need some help on what to do. I really want the turbo for a little boost so let me know what to do. Thanks

If you can't afford a d16 then I might hold off on the turbo. But to answer your question that motor isn't really worth boosting but you can do it. Then if/when the motor blows you can just upgrade to a d16 and swap the turbo kit over. I'd get the d16 first though, they are cheap!

its well worth it, just dont go too crazy with the kit,
a t25 running 8psi would be just fine, i'd say 8-9psi is the most you'd want to run on that motor, as the rods are fairly weak,
basically you probably want to worry more about how much horsepower you're putting through the motor rather than the boost pressure you're running,
for example, i'd say the b7 can probly hang with around 170whp reliably(if tuned properly) but any more and i'd be worried about it going out.
7psi on a t25 would be JUST fine,
and just a note, this would be a very fast setup and probably spank a b16 swap in the same car.

i'd say you could take a b16 or b18b/a, even with boltons,

but hey, nothings 100%, things vary, you're setup could end up being **** slow.. who knows until you actually try.

hey im getting a d16y8 40000 miles on it how much boost can i give it already has headers cold air intake stage 2 clutch and going to go short shifter can i also beat some b 16as??

and yeah it is a good idea to go with a cheaper kit for that stetup,
just dont skimp on the engine/fuel management/tuning! thats where it really counts!
also if you want alittle more "oomph" might I suggest a 14b,
they'll pull alittle harder than a t25

my engines got 115000 so i mean its got quite a bit, but im getting a turbo setup form a friend for preety cheap so its not like im spending thousands on a kit, as of now i have a front mount cold air intake witch substacially gave me more low end witch was nice sooooo but leme know wut to do next
