ya think? im running a t3 .48 .60 trim with a fmic, intercooler piping, vafc, resistors,my car has about 134k on it,450's and i wanna run about 3 lbs daily(i use my car alot) im debating what to do now.
you can safely run more than 3lbs....if you're only going to run 3 lbs of boost, why waste the money? Your gains will not be substantial. In that case you'd be better off with a couple of all-motor bolt-ons

3 psi? dude i make 3 psi when i sneeze. you wont even feel it.
you will be more than safe to run 5 lbs daily.

No they are not.
1989-below Accord blocks and a lot of older Civics, etc. had iron blocks.

Anyways yes your block is aluminum (all 1988-up Civics are), but that is not your main problem when trying to boost a stock VX engine.
The shitty pencil-thin rods and weak cast pistons will be your biggest problem with boosting that engine.
I say don't waste your time. The VX makes 92hp stock and even on 5psi or so it will still not be worth the trouble.
I'd start with nothing less than a 1.6L SOHC and maybe even throw in some stronger 1986-1987 Integra rods and then I'd probably feel okay about 10psi or so AFTER tuning.
I guarantee you will blow that 1.5L bottom end up on even 5psi - I'd bet money on it.

Apparently you aernt listening. For the cost/dollar ratio swapping in a D16z6 engine is your best bet and then turbo that. The VX is a crappy engine with an even crappier transmission bolted to it.

No one, because they either:
A.) realized that it was a mistake and didn't do it or
B.) failed to listen to sage advice and blew apart the paper-mache' motor that comprises the VX's go-parts.
Don't boost it when you can buy a D15B or D16Z6 for under $600.
EDIT: my roommate runs 15.7 daily, peaking at 22 when we get "randy". His block ain't aluminum, though
