boost limitation

Default boost limitation

i am getting ready to start a sohc vtec turbo build and i was wondering what the most boost i can run on factory sleeves with a block gaurd
on a d16y8 block

its not about preasuare but about how much air you are moving into the motor.
a t25 at 20 psi probably wont make enough power to destroy anything.
but a gt42r at 14 psi would probably leave you laughing your butt off
after a pull or 2 when tuning.

ok well then i'm looking at a go-autoworks turner kit
with a bulls eye t3/t4e with a trim of 50 and a/r 55
what is the boost i'm should run and still be safe on slock sleeves with a block gaurd

Research! A block guard won't help you with stock pistons and rods still in the block.

just saying psi doesnt make power air flow makes power.
its usualy a certian power level that poeple see motors coming apart at,
but not all motors handle the power the same. whoever tuned your 440hp
b18 should be able to tell you what hes seen a setup like yours handle.

i am going to run vitara pistons and fjt rods
with probably a bisimoto cam and a skunk2 im and tb
