What HID do you have??
I'm looking to put HIDz on my 99 civic si (blue). I'd like the beam to be more white and a'lil hint of blue with having great visibility. What color HID fits that area? I was thinkin 6000K. And what is (lm)? Lumens?? Is it the higher the more light??? Let me know what you think. Pictures would really help. THX

I had the OEM Acura TL kelvin 4300k and I liked it, most people that have HID's are getting into the retrofiting of the projectors in the headlight's, which will give you the color shift, and nice cut off that the s2k, and bmw's, audi etc have ...

it's not a debate on how much HIDs cost, so shut up already.
4300k will give you the best lighting, and, unless you do a retrofit, will look bright white. 6000k HIDs will be bluish purple and the light output will be a lot worse than the 4300k.
I have Acura TL HIDs. They are 4300K and I love them to death. I just need to do a retrofit at some point this summer.
HIDs are NOT a cosmetic upgrade. If the whole reason behind wanting HIDs is for the "cool color look", then get some colored bulbs and save yourself 400 bucs and the hassle of installing them.

no.. no it's not. it's illegal to put HIDs into headlights that arnt made for HIDs because they blind the **** out of everyone. Doing a retrofit will not only give you better lighting, better cut off, and not blind people, but it will also change your headlights so that they are made for HIDs.
Silverstar, or any other halogen bulb, output compared to some 4300k HIDs output is not even comparable.
