Ok so here is my problem I am above the top dot on the oil dipstick about 3mm give a or take a 1mm. Now is this bad for my car? Will it do harm to it? It seems a little sluggish lately could this be why?

top hole is full. a couple mm's shouldn't cause any problems. it should burn off.

out of curiousity....why are you doing your own oil changes?

 

yeah, just take it to jiffy lube. Damn oil filter is a bitch to take out

 

Well what happend was it burned hella oil and I was just putting more in. It was almost below the lower dot and I put in a qaurt then it wasnt high enough so I added another which wasn't smart. I should have added a half a qaurt.

 

it's exactly one quart from lower dot to top dot.
