another thing...
since ive found leaks.. ive been putting in quarts of oil every other day. i checked my dip stick and the oil level is way above the 2 dots. could this be a bad thing?

Yes too much oil can cause you problems. Your pan can only hold so much oil and your pump can only move so much oil.
