GSR brakes on EG Question
A friend of mine and I installed Front Gsr brakes on my 1994 CX.
We bleed all the brake lines and there is no pressure still.
We are using the stock master cylnder/ propotioning valve / booster, I have the GSR ones lying around but do I need to put all 3 of these on to make my brakes work properly? (drums in rear still)
Can I use my stock booster with GSR pro valve/master cyl? or stock everything but the propotioing valve?

I'd up to the GSR MC/BB if you don't mind rebending or reflaring lines. You should be able to bleed the air out of it as is.

Then you have a leak, plain and simple. Also, while you don't "need" to upgrade the master cylinder you still should. If you only installed the front brakes you shouldnt have to upgrade the master cylinder or prop valve. It always helps but... The only reason you do that on a REAR disc swap is because DRUMS use higher pressure to operate and if you swap REAR disc without a prop valve they will most likely rub and wear due to the higher pressure. Back to the topic at hand. The difference between the GSR calipers and CIVIC calipers is that the bore is bigger. Not big enough to make you lose pressure completely and honestly you shouldnt feel to big of a loss in pressure overall. So as stated before you probably have a leak. Does the resorvoir continue to drain after the bleeder plugs are tightened? Check that. Also i always bleed my car RL,LF,LR,RF and that has worked for me.

here's a simple question: have you pumped the brakes enough? it takes maybe 10-15 pumps to build up the pressure needed before you go driving. you guys completely drianed the brake lines from what I gathered so its going to take some time to build pressure.

im sure that i would feel a difference. mine are a little softer than i like. what booster did you switch to?

You are wrong.If you are going this on an EG,and you want to upgrade to MC,use a 15/16ths master cylinder from a 91 4dr ex,this will bolt right up without having to rebend the lines. The intergra MC will not fit right up and YOU WILL need to rebend the lines.

no ur are wrong ..and right .....u can use 94 up integra...rs.ls. (15/16)m/c and brake boooster also ...it will bolt right up in eg..with now reflaring or bending line's also..i have that in my car

dude...something is not right. If all you did was swap the front calipers there be no way that anyother part could be affected. Are the calipers in good condition? Have you found a leak anywhere?

actually i am right. 94+ integra RS master cylinder and brake booster will bolt up, because it is not ABS equipped. if you look at a GSR MC and RS MC, you will notice that the brake lines enter the GSR MC in different locations meaning you will have to rebend and reflair the lines.

we found out a thing or two about it in this thread
what we found is that some abs MCs don't have 2 different sizes from the lines, so there is no need for reflaring, only bending.
azntagger is right about the rs master, but if you use an integ mc, you need an integra booster.. as far as i know. make sure the mounting ears line up to the booster, some are different than others. if you dont' want to swap boosters, use the civic EX mc.
and to the original poster, as eyewitness said, check for leaks.. the fluid has to be going somewhere.
