proportiong valve ?
If I upgrade the front brakes on my eg hatch to gsr one's and still retain the rear drum do i need to change the proportiong valve and booster?

I believe you can just use a 15/16 Master Cylinder and be done with it. Since you still have rear drums, you should be able to keep the stock prop. valve and be okay. You can get the 15/16 Master Cylinder from a 1991 Honda Civic EX Sedan; its a direct bolt on to your stock booster.
